OUR FOUNDING PRINCIPLES
Our mission is to improve the lives of children and the moms (and dads) who love them by supporting education and literacy programs, uplifting families, and promoting social justice.
We travel to school events, community family events, and festivals to share the importance of literacy along with diverse children's book ideas for readers. Do you have a book you'd like us to include in our traveling bookshelf? Email us at email@example.com.
Books in the home are the single biggest indicator of academic success — surpassing income, parents’ education, family composition, and all other factors.
One of the most important keys to a child's success is the positive involvement of parents. That's a big job!
Our community is here to help make that job a little easier by sharing success stories, helpful books, and valuable resources.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." It's important that we teach and practice good citizenship. Engaged citizens stay abreast of what's happening in their community and the world as a whole. Community service is a big part of engaged citizenship as we are all responsible for giving back to our communities.
We're all an integral part of American History. It's being created everyday. It's important for children to connect to their family and community history and understand how it relates to the world.
To understand where you're headed you must know where you come from.
