We created our Indie Book Feature program to give self published children's book authors and small publishing companies an opportunity increase their exposure. There are so many great children's books, with great messages that parents and children need to have access to.  Sometimes indie books get lost in the mix of thousands of books being published each year. Our features are a great way to get your book in front of the people who are most likely to engage with and purchase your work.

 

Our goal is to use the books we feature in the Book Baskets and Bookshelves we place in barbershops, doctor's offices, day cares, and community centers. By agreeing to send us a copy of your book (required for a feature), you will receive exposure to thousands of readers while also helping to put diverse books in front of our little readers.

Many of the places we serve have either no books for children or books that mainly feature children who do not represent the children in the community.  We want to change that! That's why right now we are only accepting book feature requests for children's books that feature Black and Brown children. The preferred age range for books submitted is 0-15, but others will be considered. We're looking forward to working with you to diversify bookshelves and get your book the exposure it deserves!
